Celebrating Iowa’s First Book of Weddings at Our Reveal Party
It’s official — Iowa now has its very first Book of Weddings! To mark this exciting milestone, we hosted a daytime reveal party at the stunning Des Moines Heritage Center, and the celebration was nothing short of unforgettable. We gave the color palette Joyful Kaleidoscope to our vendors – and they took it and ran! From the thoughtful details to the vibrant energy of our vendor community, every moment reflected the creativity, collaboration, and incredible talent that define Iowa’s wedding industry.
Iowa Reveal Party Highlights
Rachel Jean Photo beautifully documented the day, from all the smiles to dreamy decor, giving us a gallery that tells the full story of this landmark event. (And yes — she’s the one behind our cover image!) Lavenmade was everywhere, capturing behind-the-scenes content and video moments so we can relive the magic again and again.
Shelly Sarver Designs brought warmth to every corner with their incredible lush florals and elegant linens. Their thoughtful design added texture, color, and life to the venue. Midwest Collective Co. delivered cohesive, custom built signage — from our elegant welcome display to the handcrafted “Vows that Wow” installation which elevated the entire guest experience.
The Transformation
Monarch Events reimagined the venue with a gorgeous drapery backdrop for our cover reveal, chic lounge furniture, and elevated tabletop decor — creating the ideal atmosphere for mingling and inspiration for our vendor community. Marquee Events took the celebration to the next level with an unforgettable DJ setup — and the surprise of the morning: a live saxophone! During the big cover reveal, their team brought out a saxophonist who instantly elevated the energy, creating the perfect soundtrack for the moment.
Delicious Moments
Taste! to Go Catering & Events impressed the crowd with an artful and flavorful spread, with yummy bites such as bruschetta and other elevated custom made appetizers, while Parinda Cupcakes wowed guests with stunning (and equally delicious) floral butter-cream cupcakes and a custom (designed from scratch) three-tier cake. And for a nostalgic twist, Over the Top Ice Cream served up a fully loaded sundae bar that had everyone smiling. Des Moines Heritage Center kept guests happy with their new full service bar serving up beautiful signature cocktails.
Interactive Fun
Guests got creative at the Patched Hat Bar, customizing trendy trucker hats that felt like we were straight out of a bachelorette weekend. Humble Hands wowed guests with live calligraphy on luggage tags, plus hand-designed linen bar signage and our statement “Best Wedding Vendors are in Iowa” mirror. These personal touches are what make an event and we can ensure you all the guests LOVED these fun activities!
Seamless Planning & Design
Last but not least, Ten Fifteen Events masterfully coordinated and planned this entire event, ensuring everything ran smoothly and every detail matched our vision. The planning process for this release party was stress-free for our team, all thanks to Kylee and the rest of this incredible vendor team!
A New Era for Iowa Weddings
