This December, the Wed Society Connect Event unfolded in Iowa, bringing together an exceptional group of wedding industry professionals for an unforgettable day of networking, creativity, and inspiration. Held at the elegant Tea Room in downtown Des Moines, this event was a celebration of collaboration and innovation among the top vendors across the state.

The atmosphere was beautifully enhanced by the exquisite floral designs from M.Klyn Floral, which added a touch of elegance and warmth to the setting. The gorgeous lounge furniture by Monarch Events featured elegant, modern pieces that enhanced the venue’s sophisticated ambiance. Plush seating arrangements with rich fabrics and stylish coffee tables contributed to an inviting and luxurious atmosphere, complementing the event’s decor theme beautifully.
Culinary Delights
The catering at the Wed Society Connect Event was a highlight that left guests talking long after the plates were cleared. River Center Catering & Events delivered an outstanding culinary experience, beginning with mouthwatering appetizers like smoked brisket croquettes, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining journey. The main courses were equally impressive, featuring delectable toasted gnocchi and comforting grilled cheese paired with soup shooters. Each dish was presented with great creativity and tasted as exceptional as it looked. Adding to the event’s uniqueness, The Tea Room provided expertly crafted drinks like the “Marry Me” Margarita and the “Something Blue” Mojito, perfectly matching the event’s theme!
Dessert was an artful spectacle, thanks to Glorious Desserts, renowned for her exquisite vanilla cake and detailed artistry. She crafted a stunning Wed Society themed cake that was both a visual and flavorful masterpiece. Additionally, guests indulged in a selection of six beautifully crafted dessert bar treats, each one a testament to her talent and passion for creating sweet delights.
Elegant Table Decor
The tablescapes were perfection thanks to the incredible collaboration between You’re Invited, Monarch Events, M.Klyn FLoral, Noted Design, & Unique Events. Monarch Events curated a stunning arrangement of candles, votives, and lamps. The decor was perfectly complemented by the beautiful white & patterned linens and striking green goblets from Unique Events, which added a fresh, vibrant touch. These elements came together seamlessly, enhancing the overall aesthetic and providing a visual feast for our guests.
Completing the overall aesthetic, the exquisite floral arrangements from M.Klyn Floral added layers of texture and color, bringing each table setting to life. Mandy’s expert design and careful selection of blooms provided the perfect finishing touch, creating a harmonious and visually captivating environment. Noted Design provided custom menus & detail cards that were the perfect cherry on top. You’re Invited had the eye for design when it came to putting it all together and the coordination. Together, these elements created a setting that was not only beautiful but also inviting, reflecting the creativity and expertise of the talented vendors involved.

The talented Tris from The Wedding Edit was on hand, capturing behind-the-scenes moments that showcased the essence of the day. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Ann Photography masterfully documented each detail, from the beautiful catering to the stunning floral displays, ensuring that the memories of this event are beautifully preserved. She’s the reason we are able to look back on the day through these stunning images!
Engaging Discussions and Networking Opportunities
The event featured enriching panel discussions with esteemed panelists Joe Tafta, owner of The Sound Dr DJ & Photo Booth, Taylor Boesen owner of White Willow Events & Willow on Grand, and Madisen & Gavin Timp, owners of Madisen Timp Weddings, who shared invaluable insights and strategies for success in the wedding industry. The lively atmosphere was further elevated with music and sound by Chase, owner of JM3 DJs & Productions creating the perfect backdrop for meaningful connections and conversations, while still keeping the energy high.
Innovation and Design
A visually striking element of the event was the custom paper and signage by the talented, Noted Design, providing a cohesive and elegant flow throughout the venue. Unique Events elevated the event to another level with sophisticated ghost chairs and a custom bar, that added the perfect finishing touch to the room.
