This December, Wed Society | Iowa hosted an exclusive event that brought together the top wedding pros across the state of Iowa for an evening of networking, inspiration, and celebration. This event gave local Iowa wedding vendors the opportunity to make connections, mingle, and gain valuable insights from experts in the wedding industry.

Wed Society Iowa Connect Event
The Monroe Venue was the perfect place for our event with its upscale ambiance. Our fall-inspired color palette, featuring rich maroons, soft pinks, and warm beige tones, came to life through the breathtaking floral designs by CamBam Custom Floral. Cascading florals adorned the tables while stunning arrangements dotted the space. These florals complemented the stylish lounge furniture from The Wedding Trailer and their elegant touches of table decor and chargers. Unique Events added the finishing touch with their sophisticated beige linens and golden flatware – it all paired perfectly and elevated the entire setting.
Guests were treated to signature espresso martinis and mimosas from the venue, while Platters with Purpose delighted everyone with a beautifully curated charcuterie board – which tasted just as great as it looked! Sweet Cactus Bakery added a sweet touch with cupcakes perfectly coordinated to our color palette, creating a visual and delicious treat for all.
The energy was high, thanks to JM3 DJs, who kept the vibe lively with the best tunes and top-notch sound equipment for our panel discussions. Poppin’ Parties added a playful flair with their eye-catching balloon decor that kept the event festive and fun. Everlasting Photo captured complimentary headshots for the vendors and expertly documented all the beautiful details that you see below. Filmmaking Masters also crafted an incredible recap film, which you can watch here, capturing the essence of the entire event.
Every detail of the event was seamlessly planned and coordinated by the incredible Jade + Ivy Events, ensuring everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The Noted Design provided all the striking signage and paper goods, including the welcoming guest sign and the beautiful stage banner. As a sweet takeaway, guests were gifted a delicious stuffed cookie from Bakery Lane by Sam — the perfect treat to remember the day.
And let’s not forget the show-stopping caterpillar table layout — a unique and chic design that was brought to life by our creative vendors. It was a standout feature that added an extra layer of elegance to the event.
Gaining all the Insight
One of our favorite parts of the morning was our expert panel of wedding professionals! Led by Taylor Ackerman of Wed Society, guests who attended heard from Travis Newell, owner of Unique Events and The Harmac, Jennifer Weinman of JWP, and Karla Lewenczuck, owner of Honey & Joy Events. These panelists shared their insight on various topics including the following:

We were also joined by a very special guest, Ashley Bowen Murphy, co-founder of Wed Society. We are so grateful she made the trip to make our event even more memorable!
