Week after week, our team receives and showcases stunning weddings from across Iowa, all courtesy of the immensely talented wedding vendors and lovely couples who submit to us. Each month, our editorial team selects one spectacular wedding to highlight, one that stands above the rest for its uniqueness and beauty.

For November, we’re thrilled to feature Bridget & Andy’s colorful and lively wedding. Keep scrolling to experience their stunning celebration from July 27th, 2024.

The Wedding Day

Bridget and Andy’s wedding in Iowa City was nothing short of breathtaking. The day was filled with vibrant colors that brought the day to life. The floral arrangements were stunning, with each bridesmaid carrying a unique bouquet made up of different flowers and colors, perfectly complementing their mismatched dresses—a flawless mix of coordination and creativity. Bridget was a vision in her Modern Dress gown, which was elegantly complemented by a veil adorned with delicate pearls. The ceremony aisle was lined with carpets, adding a beautiful boho vibe to the ceremony space.

The bride’s ring, from Siebke Hoyt Jewelers, was a perfect match for her look—its golden band and oval-shaped diamond adding a touch of timeless elegance.

Every moment of this beautiful day was captured by Kyndal Elise Photography. The bride shared that the KEP team truly “brought her vision to life,” with dreamy, emotional images that will let the couple relive their special day for years to come. You can feel the love and joy in each shot, and the colors seem to come alive, making each memory even more vivid!

Personal Touches and Favorite Details

We asked Bridget and Andy what made their wedding day so special, and Bridget shared some of her favorite moments. “Our beautiful floral details, our sunset photos, and the ceremony were some of my top highlights. It felt especially meaningful because I lost my grandma just a month before our wedding, and we wanted to honor her and our loved ones in a unique way. During the ceremony, we released butterflies as a tribute to them.”

One detail we absolutely loved was “Andy” written on the bottom of the bride’s shoe (reference from the movie “Toy Story”)—a fun, sweet, personal touch! Bridget’s uncle played also played a personal role in their celebration, not only designing the floral but also officiating the ceremony. Having known the couple since they first met, it made the moment even more meaningful for them all. And since Bridget and Andy’s love story began while working together at a pizza shop, it was only fitting that pizza was served at their reception—bringing a slice of nostalgia to their celebration!

Finally, some wise words from the bride: “Wedding planning doesn’t have to be stressful if you have the right vendors!”
