This month, we are excited to introduce our June 2025 Vows that Wow Couple, Chelsea & Trey Rice. Keep reading to experience this summer soirée with luxury woven into every detail.
THE WEDDING DAY
Chelsea and Trey’s wedding day was the epitome of summertime elegance—timeless, romantic, and thoughtfully designed from start to finish. The couple exchanged vows in a classic way at their Catholic Church, surrounded by blooming petal-pink hydrangeas, setting the tone for the celebration ahead.
Cocktail hour unfolded just outside the stunning Glen Oaks Country Club beneath a luxurious clear-top canopy tent by Milestone Event Rental. As golden hour approached, light streamed through the transparent ceiling, casting a soft glow over twinkling string lights and curated lounge spaces. White Willow Events transformed the space through their design and planning into a warm yet elevated setting, complete with cozy white seating, blush accents, and statement hanging floral installations above the round bar and dance floor.
Dinner was served in the elegant indoor reception space at Glen Oaks, where the design seamlessly continued—lush florals and gilded details set a romantic tone. This venue allowed for a seamless combination of indoor sophistication and outdoor beauty, offering a variety of unique spaces that brought together different moods while keeping a similar aesthetic. After a series of heartfelt toasts, guests made their way back to the tent, only to be met with…surprise — Chelsea & Trey made their grand entrance on a golf cart! Completely unplanned and spontaneous, Chelsea shared it became one of their favorite memories of the day.
The couple shared their first dance beneath the canopy of twinkling lights, with sunlight streaming through the clear tent panels. Chelsea looked radiant in her strapless Jane Hill gown and skirt overlay from Rosalie Bridal, a look that effortlessly complemented Trey’s custom suit by Langel & Woods Clothiers. Her bridal party wore black gowns, offering a striking contrast to their soft blush and cream bouquets, while the groomsmen echoed Trey’s refined look in their own custom suits from Langel & Woods. The entire scene felt effortless, elegant, and unforgettable.
From there, the party came alive—live music, a cigar bar, lit up cowboy hats, and a quick dress change moment for the bride (hello, statement bow and sleek gloves!) kept the energy high well into the night. Even Chick-Fil-A made an appearance for the perfect late night snack! Finally, the night ended with the couple being sent off with a floral bar and in a vintage car.
INTENTIONAL DETAILS
The bride and groom were committed to not only celebrating their love, but also making space for a few meaningful personal touches. One of these was the cream wedding mints on each reception table, with a little tag that read, “Made with love by Grandma Peg.” This sweet detail was the perfect heartfelt addition to the reception and a sweet nod to family.
Another special detail was Trey’s personalized suit jacket. On the inside, the team at Langel & Woods Clothiers had sewn in photos of the couple. These photos captured a few of the many memories the couple had made together–it was a subtle but powerful way for Trey to carry those moments with him into the next chapter of their story—offering both sentiment and style in one gesture.
It was a day built on love, beauty, and the incredible work of Iowa’s finest wedding creatives. Here’s to Chelsea and Trey—the Rices!
